Where the Money Goes
The Salesian Institute in Cape Town has a long history of implementing effective programmes and services that help vulnerable children and youth at risk to change their own lives by empowering them with the necessary life skills and training that will help them secure their own livelihoods. In fact, we have been doing this work for over 100 years.
Throughout that time, we have worked hard to ensure that all donations are used wisely and where the need is greatest. We make every donation count and we are delighted to report that 85% of our total operating expenses go directly to programmes and services that benefit those who rely on us for help. Our Audited statements are available through our Financial Statement 2016. Also take a look at our latest Annual Report.
Other Ways You Can Help
We also rely on volunteers to help by donating supplies and goods that are needed for our programmes – and we often need support with marketing, communications, IT, systems, advertising, planning and management training, So we always welcome volunteers who can give their time to help us in these areas.
